Here is a 12 part video series on how claim owners are being abused and unlawfully restricted by agencies of the federal government.

Please take the time to view all 12 parts. Examples like this are all to common in our industry.  It is exactly why miners and claim owners need to know the mining laws.  Your comments are welcomed.

Excellent link GoldPatriot. Thanks for posting it.  Very informative and educational. I intend to save the link in my bookmarks for anyone wondering what else could be wrong with US politics currently.

as you witnessed, there is a wealth of subject matter, violations of law and missed opportunities by the claim owners.  We will be, in the future, going over these videos with a fine toothed comb, to extract the good with the bad to learn from.

Glad you liked the videos.

Something that has bothered me since first watching the video series. Was the original owner of Emily Camp ever issued a citation or otherwise sued over the access issue?

As far as I can tell, he tried to negotiate with the USFS and the enviromental groups over access to his property without ever being required to.

Personnaly, I think he should have told them all to go pound sand and continued to access his property.

SpecJet:

From what I understand, the FS cut off is access, and threatened him with "taking" of everything (which they managed to get several claims from him) and he sued.  Then he tried to "work it out" with the FS. Remember, the claim owner hired an attorney (which didn't have clue as to mining law) to be his advocate. The claim owner didn't know the mining laws nor did he know his rights.

Now you see the aftermath of that trainwreck.

Thanks,
