Can this site make a chatroom? Maybe we can cut and paste and put in on a post to keep it at the end of class.

We are attempting to work the bugs out of how these pages refresh, as well as working out the problems with how we present the mining law. If no correction can be made to this forum, we will take further action by moving to a site that will work for our needs.

wondering if there is a way for a quicker response on threads as no matter how many times I refreshed it took awhile to update

I will have to check in the Administrative panel, but I believe it's set at 5 minute delay, I should be able to set it for a quicker refresh time, but it may use more bandwidth and make for a slower forum over all, let me check if I can change the settings and see how it does.

Unfortunately after checking there is no setting on this forum for the refresh time, there's not much I can do via the Administrator's control panel to set the refresh time.

I don't have any problems getting a fast refresh of a page, but I have a high speed internet connection, if you're on dial up or have just the basic of internet service it will take time for a page to refresh unfortunately.

Im getting responses right away as well.I ws wondering though..wasnt this supposed to be a week long class instead of at noon on tuesday which I will never be able to attend due to work...You guys are complaining about 5 minutes Im still waiting for any kind of response to my answers posted..I do not want to just go back and read everyones answers and discussion until Someone "grades my answers"...I suppose I can just read the answers of others Confused If the comments are done after class is out...
EDIT:this sounds negative it was not intended as such..I am merely pointing out that Im not getting responses in real time and I dont think t is necessary..Although I do understand wanting to if you are able to participate when it starts.

GP, here is a quote from Seco(original moderator) from OGH that has chat and a thread on mining laws in response to the plug aurumflake gave us...I would hate to see us give up on this as it seems to be working just fine...I vote that the class stays lengthy...and here at americanmininglawforum

American Mining Law

I found a site regarding American Mining Law:

http://americanmininglawforum.myfastforum.org/index.php

Appears to be a gathering site for like minded individuals.

Should have him move his stuff over here and let him moderate that side of the site.

Thanks for the update.  Now that we posted the Week #2 Homework assignment, I hope that the classrooms will fill and we can get miners excited about learning not only the mining laws, but the offensive options that we all have.

Thanks Again,

Den

I don't think I'd suggest moving forums. I think we have a good thing that allows people to focus on something without getting too distracted.
